MENTOR Maryland Foster Care

Become a Foster Parent

At MENTOR Maryland, we believe every child deserves to grow up in a loving family. Our goal is to provide youth at risk with nurturing supports in a loving home where they can heal and move forward. We also support some of the state’s most vulnerable children—those with medically complex conditions in need of loving homes. We can’t do that without caring foster parents to open their hearts and homes to these deserving kids.

In our Therapeutic and Medically Fragile Foster Care programs, we call our foster parents Mentors because they do so much more than provide a home to a child in need—they help children grow and learn, forever changing their lives. Maryland is currently facing a rising crisis of infants born to opioid dependency and your care can provide them the best chance at healthy development.

As a Mentor for either youth at risk or infants with medical challenges, you will receive 24/7 support from our experienced team of professionals, opportunities to develop skills, and the reward of making a difference in a child’s life. Plus, the bonds of family you will create can last a lifetime.
